Qualifications include

  • excellent command of English language, as well as editorial and/or teaching experience.
  • two to three years of writing/editing experience. Educational publishing experience is helpful.
  • knowledge/expertise in K-8 subject areas: language arts, mathematics, social studies, or science
  • demonstrated ability to produce high quality work as part of a team and independently with minimum supervision
  • experience in meeting deadlines
  • work experience that required organizational skills and attention to details

Graphics/Page Layout

ECS Learning Systems, Inc. a leading publisher of K-12 test-prep guides for STAAR test, Common Core, and other supplemental teacher materials needs a graphics/page layout/production specialist. 

Our Need
A position is open for an individual who is responsible for designing the format of books, catalogs, advertisement pieces, and online materials. Prepress work is done using page layout software to assemble text, art work, and other content in an aesthetically pleasing and easy-to-read arrangement. Job requires creative capacity, strong attention to details, and the ability to visualize the final product during the design/lay out process.
Job Type
This is a full-time or part-time position. Office hours are 8-5, M-F. Work is done at our location in Bulverde, TX.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up, outbound cold calls and emails.

Part-Time Marketing Assistant

ECS Learnings Systems. is currently seeking a part-time Marketing Assistant to join our awesome new Marketing team based in Herndon, VA. The successful candidate will be a creative, highly organized person with solid social media and writing skills.  This position also requires the ability to communicate effectively and collaborate in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. Key Responsibilities:

The candidate would work very closely with VP of Marketing and assist with day to day Marketing and Administrative duties as well as several important ongoing marketing projects which includes the following:

  1. The design and deployment of content on several corporate and product websites 
  2. Aid in adding content to web presence and supporting web marketing campaigns (SEM)
  3. Manage weekly/bi-weekly Email campaigns (candidate must have experience with email campaign management and knowledge of MailChimp)
  4. Coordinate with marketing and PR agencies
  5. Manage and update all corporate social media presence including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Youtube, and others
  6. Organize and plan tradeshows
  7. Plan marketing and sales events and support sales activities
  8. Planning and design work needed to publish print ads
  9. Managing calendar, scheduling and booking appointments
  10. General office duties
  11. Organize and maintain a electronic repository of marketing files with versioning


This job is ideal for a marketing generalist who has varied skills particularly in the area of online marketing including such things as content marketing, social media, email marketing, SEO/SEM, press releases, trade shows, and other related marketing activities. The ideal candidate will have the following skillsets:

  1. Excellent organizational/interpersonal skills, with proven experience working directly with Sr. Management and staff
  2. Strong written/editorial skills, with meticulous attention to detail
  3. Should have an eye for composition, style, and graphics layout
  4. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required
  5. Working experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) is a plus
  6. Knowledge of MailChimp is required
  7. Basic website, social media, email marketing and campaign management skills


  • Must work well in a team environment;
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Key note
  • Ability to learn new technologies, software and computers quickly
  • Ability to travel up to once per month
  • Understanding of common social media platforms
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Marketing, Business, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field, or 2-4 years relevant experience
  • Applicants must have a valid driver’s license
  • Experience or interest in the Education industry is a plus
  • Must be able to work remotely up to 20% of the time with access to broadband internet and telephone.
